GlassPix™ Prep Specifications

Vutek PressVu UV 600 – This is a 600 dpi, 6-color, UV flatbed printer capable of accepting rigid or roll material up to 80" in width. It will also print on substrates up to 1.75" thick. Contact your Agio Sales Rep for a current listing of substrates as there are new ones added regularly.

Raster Images – Images require a minimum resolution of 100ppi at final size. Do not use Photoshop to re-rez photos because of substandard results. If you have images that need to be re-rezed, please call us. Scanned images should be input at 300 ppi resolution at one-third of the final size. Photoshop is the preferred software but other imaging software is acceptable as long as images are formatted and saved as .tiff or .eps. The image color mode may be either CMYK or RGB (we will convert).

Vector Art Files – Line art and graphics created in either Adobe Illustrator or Macromedia Freehand should be saved in either the native format (.AI or .FH) to reduce file size, or as an .eps. Text placed in files should be converted to outlines to avoid font issues. If this is not done, please include the copy of the font that was used so we may accurately image your job. If images are placed, they must meet the resolution requirements outline in the Raster Images section above. Also include any linked or embedded files that were used to produce your job.

Page Layout Applications – QuarkXPress, Pagemaker or InDesign may be used for page layout. You will need to include all of the fonts and supporting files when sending us the final document.

Media Transfer – CD and/or DVD are the preferred media. Files may be emailed if not too large, or sent directly to our FTP site. Call 800.982.4533 for information.
