THE GLASSPIX PROCESS
GlassPix integrates a proprietary printing process using high-definition U.V. inkjet technology providing truly spectacular results. Images can be printed to both tempered and annealed glass, with safety glass options available. Materials such as polycarbonates and other rigid materials ranging in thickness up to 1-3/4" and 48" wide can also be printed on as a base substrate.
Printed artwork can include textures, photographs, illustrations, and logos… all processed digitally so quantities ranging from a single piece to multiple quantities are produced efficiently and practically from both a time and cost stand-point.
GlassPix Ink Adhesion Specifications Our UV ink adhesion has been tested using ASTM Standard Test Method for Measuring Adhesion by Tape Test, D3359, Method B. Using the ASTM standard scale of 1 to 5, 5 representing the greatest adhesion, GlassPix consistently achieves a rating of 4 to 5.
GlassPix Fade Resistance GlassPix inks are warranted against fading for up to 1 year. Images are produced with UV-cured Inks designed for outdoor applications in direct sunlight. Fade resistance with outdoor applications will very depending on a number of factors, including geographic area, specific application and the environment. With indoor GlassPix installations you can expect minimal fading for up to 5 years or longer.
